The StatWizards functionality could be easily duplicated on an older OS with a simple TI-Basic program, so there is really no point in updating. Well, people can still use it, just downgrade But it is really slower and Omnicalc's entry list causes a nice crash. Mathprint and srolling throw the Entries is super and even MirageOS runs. No worries, I will certainly make changes accordingly. Just an assumption.Īctually, this applies only to the in-development version. So maybe this new OS just doesn't cover the old way of working anymore. TI-Boy had always failed on newer machines because they have another chip/usage of memory (?). Re: Re: Re: TI Releases TI-84+ OS version 2.55MP The TI Boy doesn't work anymore? That's really bad, do you guys think they did it on purpose? Yes, as I understand it the page was left unused by TI, presumably to accomodate exactly this sort of change. Re: Re: TI Releases TI-84+ OS version 2.55MP I heard the OS was also larger, but on the calc the user archive is still the same. Besides that I don't know if any other program might fail. One program that might apparently not work anymore is TI-Boy SE. Their views are not necessarily those of, and takes no responsibility for their content. The comments below are written by visitors. You can download the new software for your calculator at TI's website. No word yet on which programs those might be. This will certainly cause incompatibility problems with some older programs that expect to be able to use that page. It was reported on IRC that the new OS uses another Flash page which was unused on previous releases. (I haven't heard of a 2.56MP, but it will probably be included in the next Nspire update, as even-numbered minor releases 2.54MP and following are targeted at the Nspire 84+ emulator.)Īccording to a posting on the tinspire mailing list, the new software has improved statistics and added new options to Press-To-Test. The previous version was 2.53MP, with version 2.54MP for the Nspire emulated TI-84+. TI recently published a new version of the TI-84+ operating system, numbered 2.55MP.
